What is lockb0x?
lockb0x is an independent, decentralized file storage system utilized by Pakana™ for storing contracts, media files, project documents, deliverables, and other sensitive materials. Built on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), lockb0x ensures that your files are:
- Encrypted end-to-end before leaving your device
- Sharded and distributed across decentralized nodes
- Access-controlled exclusively by you or those you explicitly authorize
How lockb0x Integrates with Pakana
While lockb0x is a separate decentralized service, Pakana provides seamless integration to:
- Upload and manage files tied to deliverables, invoices, or project records
- Grant view/download access to collaborators, task managers, or approvers
- Track file usage while keeping content hidden from all third parties
Pakana does not access, analyze, or retain your lockb0x content. We serve only as a convenience layer to help you manage and organize your vault.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your files remain in your personal lockb0x as long as your Pakana subscription is active. We follow a user-controlled lifecycle:
- You may delete files or entire directories at any time from your dashboard
- If your subscription lapses, your lockb0x data is retained for up to 12 months
- After 12 months of inactivity, your vault is permanently deleted
Decentralized. Encrypted. Yours.
Your lockb0x is not hosted on centralized servers. It is stored across an IPFS-based network and is protected by cryptographic keys only you possess. Even Pakana’s own systems cannot decrypt or retrieve your content without your consent.
